History of Computer Science

Discipline of Computer Science has emerged since the era of 1940, along with the emergence of the theory of algorithms and mathematical logic, history and finding a computer with the ability to store electronic program. Is Alan Turing and Kurt Gödel, who in 1930 successfully combines an algorithm, logic, and mathematics and the calculation in the tool or a rule system. The principle of the algorithm used is from Ada Lovelace, which was developed 60 years earlier.

The algorithm itself is recorded in history is the beginning of a named Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Musa al Khwarizmi. Al-Khwarizmi was a mathematician from Uzbekistan who lives in the years 770-840 BC. Literature in the west it is more famous as the Algorizm. The word itself comes from the algorithm is called. While the analog computer was created by Vannevar Bush in 1920, and followed by the electronic computer was developed by Howard Aiken and Konrad Zuse in 1930.

John von Neumann and demonstrate one of the paper fenomenalnya in the year 1945, a computer architecture which is called "von Neumann machine", where programs are stored in memory. This is the computer architecture which is then used by the modern computer until now.

1960 is the start of a new phase formalization of Computer Science. Department of Computer Science at the university began to build popularity. This new discipline and is familiar with a Computer Science (Computer Science), Computer Engineering (Computer Engineering), Komputing (Computing), or Information (Informatics).
