How Fast Shutdown, Restart, Hibernate in Windows XP and Vista

Process Shutdown, Restart and Hibernate is a critical process that is often used by Windows users (Windows XP and Vista). There are many ways to do that, but if they talk the fastest way would not want to, can not always irrespective of how the so-called keyboard shortcuts.

In Windows XP, shortcut to perform the functions it is quite simple and involves the Windows key in combination with another key emphasis:
  • Shutdown: Press the Win, and the U key and U.
  • Restart: Press the Windows key, then key U and R.
  • Stand by: Press the Windows key, then key U and S.
  • Hibernate: Press the Windows key, then key U and H.
For Windows Vista is not the same as that in XP, a little more complex and more emphasis button. But still use the same key combination Windows key with the other:
  • Sleep: Press the Windows key, right arrows and Enter.
  • Shutdown: Press the Windows key, and right arrows button three times and then the Enter key or the U.
  • Restart: Press the Windows key, and right arrows button three times and then the button R.
  • Hibernate: Press the Windows key, and right arrows button three times and then key H.
There are more ways to include the Windows key in combination with:
  • Shutdown: Press the Win, and then type shutdown-st 0 (note the space before a -, t, and 0) and end with pressing Enter.
  • Restart: Press the Win, and then type in shutdown-rt 0 and end with pressing Enter.
  • Hibernate: Press the Win, and then type shutdown-h and ended by pressing Enter.
