How To Make Mozilla Firefox Faster

Mozilla Firefox, one of the open source browser the most powerful at this time according to me. Even beyond the Internet Explorer for me. well..I will give you a few tricks on how to speed up your Firefox Faster browsing the internet with a little tweak.
Warning: I do not recommend tweaking your firefox. Tweaking itself issued by the firefox developers are not so any tweaking, but the risk by itself after tweaking because there is no option to restore the default settings you firefox.

1. To speed up browsing:
  • Ctrl + Enter, to open a domain that uses. Com. do is type in the domain name and click ctrl + enter. for example, you want to "www.yahoo.com" so type "yahoo" and then click ctrl + enter
  • Shift + Enter, to open a domain that uses. Net. do is type in the domain name and click ctrl + enter. for example, you want to open a "www.telkom.net" so typing "telkom" and then click shif + enter
  • Ctrl + Shift + Enter, to open a domain that uses. Org. do is type in the domain name and click ctrl + enter. for example, you want to open a "www.dikti.org" so typing "DIKTI" and then click Ctrl + Shift + Enter
2. Tweeking Firefox:
  1. Type "about: config" in firefox and then you enter
  2. So will out a setting for tweaking firefox
  3. To change, click 2 times and enter the data changes
  4. If the data is not in default setting firefox, right click select New. Data for a number, select Integer, for true / false Boolean select.
a. For users of DSL :
  • Set “network.http.pipelining : true”
  • Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining : true”
  • Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests : 64″
  • Set “nglayout.initialpaint.delay : 0″
b. For users of ADSL :
  • Set “network.http.max-connections : 64″
  • Set “network.http.max-connections-per-server : 21″
  • Set “network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server : 8″
  • Set “network.http.pipelining : true”
  • Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests : 100″
  • Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining : true”
  • Set “nglayout.initialpaint.delay : 0″
c. For users of DSL Dial Up :
  • Set “browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl : true”
  • Set “browser.xul.error_pages.enabled : true”
  • Set “network.http.max-connections : 32″
  • Set “network.http.max-connections-per-server : 8″
  • Set “network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy : 8″
  • Set “network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server : 4″
  • Set “network.http.pipelining : true”
  • Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests : 8″
  • Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining : true”
  • Set “plugin.expose_full_path : true”
  • Set “signed.applets.codebase_principal_support : true”
  • Set “content.interrupt.parsing : true”
  • Set “content.max.tokenizing.time : 3000000″
  • Set “content.maxtextrun : 8191″
  • Set “content.notify.backoffcount : 5″
  • Set “content.notify.interval : 750000″
  • Set “content.notify.ontimer : true”
  • Set “content.switch.threshold : 750000″
